Teens on a Mission
- Nepal 2025
The Rotary Club of Wellington is proud to support four incredible Wellington High School students who are about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime – a humanitarian mission to Nepal in 2025.
With the guidance of teacher Kirsten Parkes, these teens have shown remarkable courage and heart in stepping forward to take part in a journey that will not only change their own lives, but also leave a lasting legacy for the communities they visit.
During their time in Nepal, the students will:

Visit Kathmandu, Bandipur, Pokhara, Dhading Besi and Chitwan.

Work alongside local schools to deliver essential educational resources.

Take part in a school painting project in the remote Maidi village.

Provide water tanks and other much-needed resources to local families.

Support community initiatives, including programs for children with additional needs and women’s refuges.

Share smiles, stories, and even a game of cricket with local kids.
This mission is about more than travel – it’s about compassion, service, and building global friendships. Our Wellington teens will return home with new skills, new perspectives, and a deeper commitment to making a difference.
